Chess Overlay uses the account data required for authentication and access management, plus the engine-analysis data described below.
Data we use
Google subject identifier (sub), email, optional profile image, Supabase authentication identifier, plan, role, and access period.
Why we use it
We use this information to keep you signed in, show My Page, and synchronize access between the website and extension.
Engine-analysis data
For some Stockfish analyses, the current position’s FEN may be sent to the Lichess Cloud Evaluation API to look up a cached evaluation. If no suitable result is available, the installed local engine performs the analysis.
What we do not need
We do not require your Chess.com password and do not link to your Chess.com account.
