Download and extract
Download the extension ZIP, then extract it to a permanent folder. Do not load the ZIP itself.
Installation
Install once. Keep learning on the board.
We recommend installing from the Chrome Web Store. Manual installation is also available for users of other Chromium-based browsers.
Open Chrome Web StoreManual installation
Download the manual installation file (.zip)Open extensions
Enter chrome://extensions in the address bar.
Enable Developer mode
Turn on Developer mode in the upper-right corner.
Load the build folder
Choose “Load unpacked” and select the folder that contains manifest.json.
Pin Chess Overlay
Open the extensions menu and pin Chess Overlay for quick access.
Sign in and verify
Open the popup, continue with Google, and confirm your plan and remaining time.
If installation does not look right
Select the folder containing manifest.json, not its parent folder.
Reload the extension after every new build.
Refresh any already-open Chess.com tabs after reloading the extension.
